A Modern Wedding at JM Cellars.
We can’t get enough of this design. Classic black accents, texture with dried and fresh flowers and modern touches. A bonus is working with the family twice! A couple years before this day, we were lucky to design flowers for Emily’s twin sister. Their trust in us and wanting to work with us again is on another level.
Emily knew she wanted neutral colors for the flowers and candles. We added dried elements throughout the design to add texture, warmth and interest. We leaned into Queen Anne’s lace and in-season flowers like garden roses and dahlias. The everlasting flowers were the perfect neutral colors that we wanted so it wasn’t such a black and white palette.
You can’t go wrong with black suits for the guys and black dresses for the ladies. Something we don’t see much anymore with bridesmaids, is the same style of dress. These classic black gowns were the perfect style along with the white bouquets full of texture to complete their look. The unique boutonnieres of mostly dried elements were a great addition to the suits. Emily’s dress was jaw-dropping. That sleek fit with the flow of the train and swooping back, was just so elegant and gorgeous.
JM Cellars is such a hidden gem. Tucked on a hill within the trees, it makes for the perfect wedding space. It feels intimate but allows for a large guest list. We kept the ceremony design very simple with asymmetrical floral columns that we added to the front poles. Full of texture and in a unique design of dried, and fresh flowers.
Modern and sleek white plates with black napkins looked so great against the white menus. The long wood tables had a black runner that gave the white and neutral flowers a pop. Gold flatware added a brighter tone to the place setting that just tied in the modern vibe. Round tables had a candle grouping with simple bud vases and the long tables were lined with bud vases and structured arrangements of fresh and dried flowers. We loved how simple the design was but it really made a beautiful impact and looked so amazing outside at JM Cellars.
Their sweetheart table had handmade candles that one of Emily’s friends made her, a perfect touch to her bouquet and the flowers from the ceremony. Emily & John were the sweetest couple and we loved their input and trust in us to bring this design together. We still can’t get over getting to design for families multiple times, it really means so much to us, especially a fantastic family like theirs.
