Colorful Weekend Wedding Celebration at Alderbrook Resort.
Alderbrook Resort is such a magical venue. Along the Hood Canal tucked in trees with a view of the Olympic Mountains, you feel like you are brought back to a summer camp. Rain or shine there is so much to do at this gorgeous venue and Katie & Danny made sure their guests took full advantage of all Alderbrook as to offer.
Katie & Danny really leaned into that feeling. Making their wedding into a weekend getaway to a summer camp was so perfect for their friends and family. With a s’mores station, customized flashlights, signage and trail-mix everything came together for a memorable experience for their welcome party.
We kept the centerpieces for the welcome dinner simple with different sizes of potted ferns. Their custom pendant flag table markers stuck out of the ferns and were named after places the couple had traveled to along with photos from those trips. They enjoyed live music, lawn games and signature cocktails all night long.
After a fun evening at the Welcome party, guests woke up to so many activities to choose from to keep them busy for the day while the bride and groom got ready to say “I do”. There was a volley ball game, hiking, yoga and kayaking around the Hood Canal.
Probably our favorite detail of their whole weekend was Katie’s dress. We based colors, design and the feel around her stunning dress. It was the perfect inspiration for us in choosing their flowers. Her bouquet was busting with local peonies, delphinium and garden roses. Danny’s pocket square was just as colorful to coordinate with her bouquet. We loved this look against the classic black tux.
We brought the ferns to the ceremony aisle that was the perfect PNW touch. We draped the wood Chuppah with hanging flower strands and full and lush ground and corner florals. The colors were so vibrant against the water backdrop and clouded skies.
One of the coolest details I had seen at a wedding was the live painting. It was amazing watching her from start to almost finished! It was really so special to see our artwork inside of her artwork!
There is nothing better than hearing gasps, oohs and awes of guests seeing a space for the first time. From start of set up to finish, everyone that passed by, gave a compliment or two.
One of the most breathtaking additions to the décor was the large flower hoops hanging from the tent ceiling. These elegant, circular floral arrangements added dimension and romance to the space, creating a floating garden effect. Adorned with cascading greenery, roses, peonies, and more, the flower hoops brought a whimsical touch to the reception.
From centerpieces to table settings, every detail contributes to the vibrant aesthetic. Wood tables enhanced with multicolored fresh florals bursting in shades of fuchsia, orange, blush, and shades of blue, created an inviting atmosphere. The green textured glasses, bright green napkins were a great addition to the long farm tables. Each place setting had a sword fern tucked under the gorgeous charger. Every detail came together because of color and the inspiration of Katie’s dress.
Their photo booth backdrop was a labor of love! Stems of flowers hung on a soft, flowing curtain backdrop. It was large, and so beautiful.
We can’t stop thinking about this wedding with all the details, colors and being in a beautiful venue for the weekend.
